Pinnacle Classical Academy Hosts Annual Band Camp
Pinnacle Classical Academy students spent an exciting week learning, creating, and making music together during our Annual PCA Band Camp!
Open to PCA students entering grades 6–12, Band Camp provides beginning and returning musicians with an opportunity to develop their skills, grow as musicians, and build a strong community through their shared love of music.
This year’s Band Camp focused on three main goals:
• Building strong foundational skills for beginning band students
• Improving the musicianship of returning students
• Creating a community of young musicians who work together as a team
Throughout the week, students participated in:
• Private and group lessons based on skill level
• Group rehearsals
• Basic parade marching instruction
• Music theory and composition classes
• Team-building and icebreaker activities
• Web-based music learning tools
• Music-related crafts and activities
• Recreation and time to build friendships
Band Camp concluded on Friday with an ice cream sundae bar at lunch followed by an informal performance for parents, where students had the opportunity to showcase the skills they developed throughout the week.
