PINNACLE CLASSICAL ACADEMY OPENS ENROLLMENT FOR 2015-16 SCHOOL YEAR
Enrollment for Pinnacle Classical Academy’s 2015-2016 school year will open on December 1, 2014. Initial applications are available online at PinnacleClassicalAcademy.com, and are available for grades K-8. To be considered in the lottery, initial applications must be postmarked no later than March 2, 2015.
Pinnacle Classical Academy will hold a lottery on March 9, 2015. Initial applications will continue to be accepted through the start of the school year, however applications must be received by March 2, 2015 for consideration in the lottery.
Pinnacle Classical Academy is a public school chartered by the State of North Carolina that currently serves 370 students. Using the classical education model and the Core Knowledge curriculum with an emphasis on STEM, Pinnacle Classical Academy is a college-preparatory school. There is no fee to apply or to attend Pinnacle Classical Academy. All students who will be in kindergarten through eighth-grade are encouraged to apply.
Pinnacle Classical Academy will hold an open house for prospective families on February 5, 2015 at 6:00pm. Pinnacle Classical Academy will hold student-led tours from 9:00 to 11:00 am on the following dates: December 5, 12, January 9, 23, 30 and February 6, 13, 20, 27. Tours may also available at other times by appointment, please contact the school at 704-740-4040 to check on availability.
Pinnacle Classical Academy is located at 900 South Post Road in Shelby. This will be the school’s home during the construction of our permanent campus. The plan for a permanent home is to construct a new K-12 campus on Joe’s Lake Road, about one mile from the South Post Road location.
Dear PCA Families,
I want to personally welcome you back, if you are a returning family, and to welcome you as a new PCA family member if this is your first year. I believe all would agree we had and exceptionally successful inaugural year, and our entire staff is looking forward to this year as well.
There have been some structural changes in administration here at PCA, and I want to take a moment to announce those changes below.
My new role will be the CEO (Chief Education Officer) for PCA this year, and my responsibilities will include more executive and long range planning duties in the areas of facility, finance, elementary curriculum, and legal affairs.
I would like to take this opportunity to introduce our newest member of the administration team, Mr. Robert Brown. He will be the new Headmaster and take on the responsibilities of human resources, secondary curriculum, staff development, enrollment, and technology. Please make him feel welcome as a part of the PCA team.
Also returning is our Dean of Academics & Student Affairs, Mrs. Bianca Muller. She will still be responsible for the daily management, student conduct, professional learning communities, testing/accountability, and scheduling.
We are all excited about the continued possibilities of learning here at PCA. We have a solid foundation on which to build as we move forward. We also realize that our continued success depends on the commitment of all of us (parents, students, faculty, staff, administration and board members) working together.
