On August 23, 2017 Pinnacle Classical Academy achieved two important milestones. The first is a successful start to the fifth year of operations of the school. The second is the opening of a brand new, second campus.
It seems like yesterday that the school first opened its doors to students for the first time. It is hard to believe that event happened nearly five years ago. In the beginning the school enrolled 308 students in grades K-6. Each grade level had two classes, and everyone was housed in the upstairs portion of the facility at 900 S. Post Rd. Today the school has enrolled 740 students in grades K-10. Instead of each grade level having only two classes, the school has expanded the enrollment in lower grades to help meet demand. Currently there are five Kindergarten classes, four 1st Grade classes, four 2nd Grade classes, four 3rd Grade classes, three 4th Grade classes, and two classes each from 6th through 10th grades. This is startling growth in what has truly been a very short period of time.
As our student body has grown, so have our facilities. Gone are the days of renting a campus from a local business, they have been replaced by owning two separate campuses. Facilities are problematic for charter schools due to a number of legislative and fiscal hurdles, but Pinnacle has been able to successfully navigate these troubled waters. We now have nearly 75 acres of land and over 100,000 square feet of instructional space. The new 3-12 campus alone has 64,000 square feet of space with 33 traditional classrooms, 3 dedicated labs, 2 art studios, a music room, 2 media centers, a gymnasium, and lighted sports fields. It truly is a magnificent facility and one that will be built upon in the future.
We look forward to continued growth and success throughout the 2017-2018 school year.
Thank you for your continued support of the students, faculty, and staff of the school - we cannot do it without you.
